What terrible news. I don't think I knew Heather, but the loss of any Weggie always hits hard. I hope her suffering was minimal. May her loved ones find peace and comfort.

LOL I occasionally take a peek just to make sure you two are behaving. I'm looking at you, Hammy and Dale. :wink1:
Fantastic to hear the news, Hammy. Go enjoy yourself! :hug3:
I agree, too. The hospital will not admit liability or malpractice to you, that is for certain, but there are regulatory agencies that oversee hospitals in Canada. The hospital is obligated to tell...
Docs will help your Docs! :biggrin1:
I'm glad you're doing that, Tom. I did it for several years and then stopped the past few years, because I felt I had developed a good grip on my background Wegs symptoms/ symptoms from other...
I'm glad they finally diagnosed you properly, before Wegs did even more damage or took your life. When I was first diagnosed (2006) I developed "uncountable" numbers of clots in my legs and lungs...
I am so sorry to hear that she's doing poorly. Those are all such serious problems. I hope Amy is getting excellent care at a major hospital. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you. You...
Hi Michelle! I don't watch NCIS so I don't get the reference, but at least for the time being we don't need no stinkin' Plan C. :biggrin1:
Right now I get rtx every 4 months. We were doing a single half-dose infusion and now we've bumped it up to a single full dose. Doesn't seem to have made a big difference though. Plan B is to do it...
That's really good to hear.
I'm okay. Not sure the rtx is working that well anymore, but since it's still doing something and there aren't any alternatives for me we're plugging along with it.
Hahaha. Hi Debra! Nice to see all of you. I miss you too and hope you're all doing well. :smile1:
LOL Hi guys, nice to see you. :biggrin1:
That's the desired result. CD 19 and CD 20 are genes found on the surface of B cells. Rituximab destroys all the B cells in circulation, so if you want to measure the efficacy of ritux you can...
It's a good thing if you can get the Wegs dog back to sleep with just a bump in Cellcept and pred.
There were 2 waves of infection. The first was like a typical flu, in that it killed mostly the youngest and the oldest. Then the flu virus mutated and the second wave began, which killed mostly...
Sending you love and prayers, Alysia. May you find peace and be well.
Often people assume that adverse effects from a vaccine will be evident immediately and that if they don't experience this they must be in the clear. While vaccines certainly can cause severe adverse...
The world was engaged in (and recovering from) WWI at the time, with massive populations having been suffering from malnutrition, extraordinary stress, insufficient heating, etc... for several years...
I think it's a wonderful idea. Thank you for presenting it, Hammy
Fantastic idea, Hammy. I remember when Jack died we all changed our avatars to Leonard Cohens. :smile1:
I'm devastated to hear this. Phil was part of our original group here, back when there weren't too many of us and we were like a close family. We all used to check in with each other every morning...
Oh no, how scary. :sad::sad:
Sleeping in the ICU is very difficult due to the constant lights and noise. He might just be needing extra sleep because he hasn't gotten enough. mrtmeo is right-- sleep is necessary for healing....
Oh man, progressive scarring (progressive fibrosis) is terrifying. I pray it's not that. It can be very difficult to tell Wegs from infection. It's happened to me a number of times. This is a lot for...
