Yeah I agree with Pete, see how it goes. I tend to get a blood nose with a cold too. See how it goes over the next few days. If he gets worse, then a visit to the doc would be in order.

It's certainly not the typical regimen but not outside the bounds of possibilites. The doc may be trying to minimise the impact of side effects if she doesn't see an immediate need...

The Pred is a good choice as it will help with inflammatory disease in general, not just specifically the WG. Others have been ANCA negative at diagnosis as well....
