    Re: Happy Birthdays Thread

Thank you!! Had a day traveling and getting ready for a conference. Yay! Saw my God Daughter last night though. Haven't seen her in months so that was a great way to spend the evening :)

Re: Got a cold, should we go to doctor?

Yeah I agree with Pete, see how it goes. I tend to get a blood nose with a cold too. See how it goes over the next few days. If he gets worse, then a visit to the doc would be in order.

    Re: Methotrexate without Prednisone

    Hi and welcome!
It's certainly not the typical regimen but not outside the bounds of possibilites. The doc may be trying to minimise the impact of side effects if she doesn't see an immediate need...

    Re: Hello from Shawny

Hey Shawny! Welcome to club Weg.

The Pred is a good choice as it will help with inflammatory disease in general, not just specifically the WG. Others have been ANCA negative at diagnosis as well....

  9. Re: Newly diagnosed - ANCA positive, Joints and muscle pains, eye pressure

Hey there welcome to the forums! So happy they found the Kidney issues. Kidney's are weird. They don't give any warnings that they are on their way out until they're almost done. Pain at night sucks...

    Re: Flare?

It's a stupid disease isn't it?! Certainly seems like it's a flare and yes it's quite possible to achieve without blood work showing anything/much wrong. Can you get on the list for a cancelation at...
  14. Re: new member with question regarding remission

Well that's an interesting question because it can be vastly different for many people depending on how much the Wegs has affected them. Sometimes despite being in remission you're still dealing with...

    Re: Help

I'll just chime in with one thing. It's entirely the individual's choice whether or not to give money to strangers on the Internet so I won't stand in anyone's way. Just please don't be blaming me if...

    G'day Mags
I guess if it's balance then his ears are perhaps affected again? Is an ENT involved and do any of the Docs have much experience with WG...assuming they're not the same ones as last time....

Re: Your personal experiences in treatment?

Exactly yes. During treatment I felt oh so much better but had to keep in mind that I was actually sick and pushing myself would only end up hurting pretty quickly :) I learned my limits pretty...

Re: Your personal experiences in treatment?

    Hi hi
    Interesting questions.

I was originally diagnosed in March of 2003. It took until about 2008 or 9 to be in a chemically induced remission and a couple of years after that to be off all...
