Finally, a good doc!!!

Hi. I just wanted to share a good story about WG. I was in remission for about 11 years and then came out. My gp sent me to a rheumatologist who didnt really know the disease very well. She was very nice, but on my last appointment admitted that I was a bit of a mystery and very intriguing. This did not instill confidence. So, I decided it was time to find a new rheumy and contacted the vasculitis foundation to ask for a recommendation. Im in Manhattan KS and the foundation is basedin Kansas City (luckily). So the woman who answered the phone at the foundation told me of a rheumy in KC who knows the disease well. Said her dad has WG and sees her. It was so refreshing to talk to a doc who really knew the ins and outs of Wegeners. If any of you doubt your current docs, dont hesitate and call the foundation for a referral. They have lists of docs all over the country.
