A.J.'s urine creatinine level is 338. His creatinine level in his blood is slightly elevated. His BUN is normal. His protein level is high. His rheum. said its something to watch, but nothing to be overly concerned about. Comments on this?

The urine creatinine level is not a very reliable indicator unless taken from a 24 hour collection, the blood test is also a little unreliable in absolute terms, but is a good indicator of the direction things are going in. As far as I'm aware, 338 in the urine is normal. The specialist is right to keep an eye on kidney function results, things can change very quickly with few symptoms.

I am suppose to check my urine every two weeks with a dip stick ( that checks for blood, protein, ect) and report if it is abnormal of course.
