Hi just signed up after doing a bit of research I found your/my support group. I read all your messages and they were very helpful. I felt very alone with this and without my wondeful supportive husband who knows.
Have now tapered to 30mg of Presolone from 80mg and taking oral Methotrexate 25 mg. Excuse the spelling still trying to get my head around all the new terminology. A whole new world and I have to find out where I fit in. Keeping it short today as really fatigued.
Cheers

Hi Col,
I've been recently diagnosed also, I'm in my seventh week of treatment- prednisone and cyclophosamide.
Where are you from?

When did you get diagnosed and how long have you been on prednisone? Sangye will ask these questions so I thought I would get them out of the way, oh and who is your Doctor? All kidding aside, this is the greatest place to learn and share all your feelings. Wonderful people. Have you been to vasculitisfoundation.org yet? Very informative, and even has a list of specialists around the country that will help. Good Luck and Welcome.

LOL-- I am SO predictable!

Welcome, Col. Please fill us in when you rest up a bit. By your doses it sounds like you have a milder onset of Wegs. That bodes well for you. :)

Hi, Col: Glad you found us. I was diagnosed with WG in late January, started on mtx but liver enzymes went up and was taken off. I will see my rheumo today for presurgical clearance to have a subglottic stenosis fixed next Thursday. I also have the saddle nose. My only symptoms really are sinus type things, and the fact that my windpipe is closing so I try to keep my chin up! I'll start up meds again after my recovery from surgery (just a couple of days).
