We all must make sure we have our eyes checked by a reputable eye doctor who knows our disease. I had to wait to get into see one with a fine reputation. He knew my health and said immediately NO VASCULITIS. This was a relief. Then he said no macular either. I was not surprised when he said both eyes have cataracts. At my age (72) it is common.
I will also be seeing my endocrinologist regarding my blood sugar, caused by prednisone. I am doing the slow cut back on prednisone also removed bread, pasta and rice from my diet. Taking Jardiance for sugar.
My GPA numbers are coming back good, received my second Evusheld shots.
So many health issues to stay on top of caused by GPA.

It sounds like you’re in pretty good shape for the shape you’re in. I hope you continue to improve.

It is a full time job for many of us!

Before GPA was diagnosed, one of my earliest symptoms were eye problems. I described it as feeling like something was taking little bites out of the back of my eyeballs. I also started getting double vision.
Lately my eyes are feeling irritated again but I’m unsure if it is allergies or Wegs. Yesterday, while flying an rc airplane, the wings suddenly looked like a dragon fly (double). I landed the plane immediately and made an appointment with my eye specialist.

A number of years ago, my wife was taking pred while being treated for asthma and bronchitis. She had double vision as a side effect. We don’t remember the dosage, but I would guess 40+ mg. After she got off pred, the double vision subsided.

I’ve been totally off of Prednisone for a couple years.

The eye doctor examined me yesterday and said it doesn’t look like a webs flair there. Allergies.
