It is a pretty good guess that if we are healthy in 2020 we will be happy. So, it is my wish and prayer for all of you to have a healthy New Year.

Thanks, Masha. Healthy New Year, and also Happy New Year. We can be joyful even if we are not healthy.

Canberra, where I live, has topped the world yet again in crappy air quality. The smoke from the fires gets stuck in the valley we're in. I'm staying inside as much as possible but it's not as much of an inconvenience as dying or having your home destroyed like many others.

A big Hi to everyone who have made it to the new year, I hope 2020 will be a great year for all, we had fires around us October/December 2019, being a truck driver I had to drive in and around fires for about 8 weeks, I was not affected by the fires directly, but the devastation it caused was huge, I have driven through 40-50kms of forest burn on both sides, it looked a bit like a war zone, and the smoke made you throat sore and raspy.

A Big thanks to all the volunteer firemen, and all the volunteers who helped out.

Regards Woz....

I understand the fires are still increasing and are worse than ever. It was brave of you to drive in and around the fires, not that you had much choice, since it is your job. I guess being a truck driver gives you a perspective that most people don't have. We in the US have our share of wildfires, but none have come close to that. We can't even remotely imagine it, I'm sure! But it makes me very sad, and I hope and pray that a change is in the near future, in the form of rain and much cooler temperatures. And yes, undying gratitude to all the brave volunteer fire fighters. Thanks for your perspective on this, and good health to you.
