Hei,

I believe that my husband is in remmition. His medicines are redused to very few and low doses. He has been in so much better form, we go long walk very often. These days due to the weather changing, many people get a cold, and he sees has gotten one from yesterday. running noses, and today once it came blood when he blowed nose. He coughs a little, too. He says he is fine. But I am getting worried. This is the first time he's sick since he got GPA in 2017. Should I leave him alone and he can take care of the cold? I don't want him to feel I push him too much to do things, and to manage his life. But I worry a lot. Would he be recovered by himself? or we should contact his doctors?

thanks in advance for suggestion.

Try over the counter cold medications for a few days. If his symptoms don’t change or get worse, a call to your doctor is in order. My childhood family doctor said of colds, “If you treat a cold, it lasts seven days. If you leave it alone, it lasts a week.”

Yeah I agree with Pete, see how it goes. I tend to get a blood nose with a cold too. See how it goes over the next few days. If he gets worse, then a visit to the doc would be in order.

Agree with the above. Weg patients (perhaps like most people) don't like to be nagged. They do know when it's a cold and when it's a gpa symptom. Not always do they tell us, however. God bless.

Some times we guess wrong about our symptoms. Once I thought I had a cold or bronchitis and it turned out to be pneumonia. Another time my "probable cold" turned out to be the flu. So sometimes some other treatment is needed and might help us. My health care professionals say it is better to err on being too cautious instead of failing to get prompt help for some thing that could be very serious. They generally seem supportive when I check things out with them.

So, has the condition passed or gotten better. Inquiring minds are nosey as Hell.
