Rituximab Assistance?

Has anyone applied for copay assistance from the rituxan web site?

I started the form but hit a dead end when I answer I am not diagnosed with non Hodgkin lymphoma.

My rhumy at Duke Medical had never heard of the program though they are a specialist for WG in this part of the country.

Keith, I am surprised the Duke medical office isn’t taking care of this for you. I don’t think the doctors are informed regarding the billing. I am on Medicare and between that and my supplement I am completely covered for my infusions. The office I go to in Charlotte takes care of the paperwork for those not covered. I believe there is a foundation for that purpose. If I am not mistaken the name was just mentioned in a recent thread on this site. Patients only job is to get well. Heard Duke is very good for WG’s. My doctors here follow the same protocol, and it is convenient.

Thank you Alysia, I sent the link to my doctor through the hospital portal. I am thankful to have insurance and an out of pocket maximum. However, it is very large maximum and would like to not max out every year and have some saved for later in life when I retire.

Hi Masha, I am very satisfied with the medical staff. I wish I had got there a little sooner. I did have an issue last year getting my second infusion approved by insurance after I was released from the hospital. It all worked out in the end but was extremely frustrating with all the back and forth. My company changed insurance this year so I need to go through the pre-authorization again. Hopefully will be smoother this time.

Yes, when our daughter was a minor we received financial help from the Healthwell Foundation, and now that she's an adult the grant comes from Genentech. Good luck! It's worth the hassle. And then after you untangle it, you can maybe explain it to the doc office, because they ought to know how to help patients track this assistance down.

Also, just a tangent, it was incredibly helpful several times for us to work with an insurance case manager (requested through the insurance customer service #) regarding all things insurance-related.

Hi there! I've used the Rituxan RA Co-pay card for all of my RTX copayments for the last two years.

I think perhaps you applied at the wrong site--there are separate co-pay cards for patients with cancer and patients with GPA and RA. Here's the site: https://racopay.com/rituxan-eligibility-patient

You do have to be on private insurance (not Medicare or Medicaid). I've had to talk to them on the phone a few times and they were always extremely prompt and helpful. Here's that number: (855) RA-COPAY (855-722-6729).
