The Sunday NYT magazine usually has a "medical mystery" story. Of course I had a strong suspicion what the outcome would be just by reading the title. Hope the link comes through.

Wow! thanks for sharing this article. Although, thankfully, my flares of the disease have never been this bad, I was diagnosed at 13 so I understand how this girl feels about being so young and scared that the disease would come back. Also just like her, I want to be nurse because of the nurses that have helped me throughout my life!!

I so relate!! I was 16. And i was so inspired by the ladies who were so kind to me every month at the lab where they took my blood that i went to phlebotomy school and worked as a phlebotomist for a cpl years. Wouldnt be able to anymore, as i would be too unreliable, but i loved it when i did it!

This story brought back old memories, and all the lessons that I learned along the way. I can't imagine being a teen and having Wegeners. This story made me count all my many blessings that I have had.
