It has been a while, but I've still been checking in every so often. I hope everyone is doing well!

Does anyone have suggestions on how to get rid of a cold fast? I woke up this morning with the early signs of a cold and know it's going to get worse in a few days. When I get sick it usually lasts 2 weeks. Normally, I don't care and just let it take its course (take cold meds as needed), but I have a grad school interview next week and can't be sick... I just want to take all the vitamin C in the world, but I know not to do that.

Also, if anyone is in Philly, I'll be there October 1st-2nd. Let's meet up! :)

This is my cold/flu magic bullet recipe.

2000mg Vitamin C (make sure it's a good quality one)
2000IU Vitamin D
2 Oregano oil pills.

Preferably after eating as the C and oregano oil can hurt the tummy.

That's my way. It works every time. If you want to make sure it works take it a couple of days in a row (sometimes I'll even do it once in the morning and once in the evening)
It's cheap, it's safe and you're only giving a solid boost to the immune system a couple/few times, so it doesn't counteract the treatment.

Hope it helps.

Rinse it out with a good nasal rinse bottle. That works good for me.

I use Zicam and rinse my sinuses. Generally clears things up in a day or two.

I take, C, D, oregano oil.. I also use thieves' oil on my feet, clothes, skin, and essential oils (a breathe easy mixture) sometimes. Make bone broth (or buy from a good butcher), drink lots of it with garlic and onions. You can also try turmeric tea (google the recipe). I find it hard to get down, but it works for some. these thinys ften work for me, at least to shorten the duration if not fight it off. Good luck!
