Here is a link for the 2017 Vasculitis Symposium in Chicago this June. I have registered and will attend again this year. I was able to attend in 2013 in Philadelphia and again in Jacksonville 2015. I always learn from these events and get to mingle with others fighting this illness

I attended the last two in Philly and Jacksonville, too! I'm thinking about going to this one... I learned so much and enjoyed meeting everyone! I'm applying to grad school this summer, so my bank account will be really hurting with those expensive application fees. I'll keep checking this page to see who plans on attending and let you know if I register to go to Chicago! :)

I unfortunately won't be able to attend the symposium this year, because I am taking a graduate anatomy dissection course this summer. I was hoping to go explore the city, and see if I like it since I have schools in Chicago on my grad school list. I am so thankful to have the opportunity to take the class and learn more information to take with me in grad school though. I will miss seeing everyone there, and I hope it's as fun and informative as the last 2 were. If you haven't attended one, I highly recommend going! You learn so much from the doctor's presentations and interacting with others going through the same thing as you.

I live 40 miles from Chicago and would love to be there but I already made arrangements to be at an autoharp festival in Pennsylvania that week. Music is healing too!

I am booked...United...so in light of recent United news..hopefully I do not get dragged from my seat by a Chicago Transit Cop :w00t: I have Marriott Rewards so I went with them instead of the room block price provided for the event.

Great Symposium. From a session yesterday I learned that my right lung can be repaired using cryotherapy and will be discussing this with my docs when I get back to Houston.

Sorry I didn't get to meet you face to face but the symposium was great again and yes the DR made a nice joke about your son

Sorry did not get to chat with you and others from the forum...rain check...perhaps the next one. It was hectic juggling the symposium, little one, and getting out around Chicago, so we were in and out...and yup was a great symposium for sure! Still in Chicago now ...packing up and getting ready to fly out....

We were fortunate to meet people from around the world while there. I met a family that came from Australia to the event, several from Canada another from Alaska and several from my home state of VA with one family living within 25 miles of where I live.
It's great to network with others and share our experiences. Giving advice to the newly diagnosed and learning from others
