Blood Type Poll

One of our forum members has asked about setting up a poll to see if there is any correlation between blood type and a predisposition to wegs. Apparently, a similar poll with a facebook group gave some surprising results. So here it is... A poll for blood type.

BTW, anyone can set up a poll. Once you have typed your message, just go down the page and click on "Post a Poll" and follow the directions after you hit submit.

vdub, it can be interesting to also check for positive or negative. Mine is AB negative. Here is some info about it https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rh_blood_group_system in a way, its similar to AI diseases because the mother's blood "rejects" the baby's when it shouldn't.

I don't think i can change the poll at this point, Alysia and, as far as I know, there was no mention of positive or negative.

So far on the facebook poll most friends were AB ! Then B. But very few voted so we cant know if its valid. We have here much more friends....

I think there was a thread posted here many years ago where a lot of people said that they were in the A group

I still don't know :unsure: My brother is A+ according to his dog tags and my mother is O ? I will have to find out. But doesn't your dr. have to request that on blood tests ?

I wish we could get 200 or 300 votes. At this point, it appears to be mirroring the general population, but I haven't checked to make sure that is the case.

No, you don't write any comment at all. Writing a comment won't actually register a vote. You have to go to the poll and click on one of the options.

How do you get to a poll? I can't find anything it'll let me click on to open the poll.

I've already voted so mine will display differently than yours. I would guess, though, if you haven't voted, there should be radio buttons next to each option on the poll display. Just click on the radio button, then submit, to register your vote. Maybe someone who hasn't voted can verify that my guess is correct.

I'm in tapatalk and don't see anything different about this poll than a normal thread where people comment. No radio buttons.

Edit: just tried safari on cell phone - still no poll area with radio buttons. Looks like a normal thread. Maybe it has to be done on a laptop. Will try that later.

Sorry, I don't remember what my mom told me my blood type was many, many years ago, and I'm not sure how to find out. I forgot to ask the last doc I saw.

Alysia and vdub I finally got on my lap top and was able to see that there is a poll to vote at the beginning of the thread. That is not there on the tapatalk app and not on the mobile version of this website... Just thought I'd let you know.

Why doesn't this poll have a "Don't know" option? Is that "obviously impossible"?

It wouldn't add any knowledge to the poll other than a percentage of people who are unaware of their blood type, which isn't really useful information.
