Most of us who are on prednisone are accustomed to the brown spots on our arms and hands etc. as a side effect. I recently had an allergic response to an Aleve, which I took for back pain. I got my usual whole-body stinging, itchy red rash, but this time it was worse than usual and dozens of the "prednisone-like" brown spots burst out all at once. They were truly hideous. I will not take Aleve again obviously.

Anyway, I remembered a homeopathic remedy that my British aunt swore by. I once saw her neighbor after a fall with a massive purple and black bruise on her upper arm. She took a few of my aunt's arnica pills, and the very next day the bruise had gone to a light green/yellow color.

I picked up an OTC arnica based gel at the pharmacy and began to apply it immediately. The spots began to fade. I then ordered the tablets online and they finished off the rest of the job in no time. If you are interested, here is the ordering info from Amazon for both products.

I always get these red spots, some big, from just hitting something slightly. I have been doing a lot of work around the house (outside ) and I look like a was in a fight and lost. Its from the pred making my skin so thin. I will have to look into the gel
I was told that we should take Tylenol instead of alieve, may try that next time
