Is anyone on blood thinners with Wegeners?

I used to take a small aspirin but the doctors took me off that when I got Wegs. After I got into a drug induced remission they told me I could go back on it but I have not done it. It might help prevent a stroke or heart attack which are high risk events but it may also increase the risk from bleeding more if Wegs flares and attacks the lungs or kidneys again. Tough Call but depends upon one's over all health and main concerns.

I take a "baby" aspirin daily with no problems. I am in a drug induced remission.

I take Coumadin daily due to DVT from my GPA Been on it for 2 years now

I also take coumadin due to DVT & PE also from GPA. Been on it for 6 years. It's about as annoying as pred, but I'm still here. It's amazing what you can get used to!

I'm also on warfarin (Coumadin). Always struggle to get my INR to stay in range. Will be on it for life now as I've had DVT 3 times. The most recent ultrasound showed a string of clots from the bottom of my calf up the full length of leg and in to my abdomen.

Been on Warfarin since 09 due to DVT and Pulmonary Embolism. Have a filter in Vena Cava and will remain on Warfarin for life.
