So i went to see the nephrologist today and they want to do a biopsy to make sure the weg isnt messing with my kidneys... i also switched off imuran to cellcept. I have been having a bit of acid reflux, does anyone know anything that will help? It said not to take antacids and ive been drinking water like a drunk fish.

I too was switched off of Imuran and put on Cellcept. My Dr also has me taking protonix to help with the acid reflux. Have had two kidney biopsies since being diagnosed in 2012, and both times didn't feel a thing. They cover the incision with a bandaid! The worst part was having to lie flat on my back for 8 hours afterwards (to help prevent bleeding).

That makes me feel a bit better. I always get nervous, even if it's something i know will be fine.

With me they gave me drugs to relax me and then numbed the area where they made the incision. I was instructed to hold my breath a couple times, then I'd hear a little click...and next thing I knew we were done. Except for the flat on my back part, which got pretty old after a couple of hours.
