Had a follow up today with Doctor that did my Upper and Lower GI results said Upper was fine but lower showed suspect of Ulcerative Colitis. Talked with him about this plus Vertigo and back twinges when trying to sleep. He wants to refer me to the Cleveland Clinic or at least an Autoimmune - Vasculitis - Wegener's specialist in Kansas City if insurance won.t go for Cleveland. He feels I have an Autoimmune Disorder that is Systemic and attacking multiple areas at the same time. Family Doctor will be back on 5 Jan. and get the ball rolling. Finally getting someone to listen to the whole picture. Have started my Prednisone taper hopefully everything won't come back. Hoping for the best am Sick and tired of being Sick and Tired.

If you can't get to Cleveland Clinic, there are some Vasculitis specialists at KU in Kansas City. Glad to hear the docs are starting to put things together for you.

So cool, ya finally got them to look at the whole picture... Please tell what it was to finally get him, or her to listen? You didn't have to arm youreself with anything other than paperwork right? I'm happy for you, and wish you the best.... I believe my day of posting this way will come. Deb.

I don't understand why he is tapering the pred. until they find out for sure,at least that would help with some inflammation. I don't know what kind of ins. you have but I don't think you will have a problem getting into CC there....good luck and keep us posted !
