Hello Everyone,
When I was diagnosed with WG at 26 years old, one of the hardest things for me to accept was possibly not being able to start a family of my own. But 9 months ago, my husband and I recieved some surprising news, and last week, we welcomed our son into the world. He is truly a miricle.

I was 10 months drug free and in remission when I got pregnant. And, luckily, I was able to remain drug free throughout my pregnancy. I had high blood pressue starting around my 35th week, which is why the delivered him early. But other than that, it was a pretty uneventful 9 months.

Before my experience, I was always looking for positive stories about pregnancy and WG, so I wanted to share my own. Best wishes to anyone considering starting a family after diagnosis. xoxo

Congratulations! And thank you so much for taking the time to post this. It's very encouraging to me, and I'm sure will encourage many other moms of pediatric weggies!!!

Couldn't agree more!
Very thoughtful of you to post this good news with the thought that it may give hope and encouragement to any potential mums out there with Wegener's.

I really don't want to bring the happy tone of this thread down, but I'll mention this - although Wegener's is highly unlikely to be "passed on", auto-immune diseases do tend to run in families, so I guess it's something to bear in mind for the future.

We hope they will find a cure and better treatment soon so youngsters of today won't get to share our wonderful experiences.
