My dentist says I need deep cleaning never had it if you have had it what should I expect any comments would be great. Thanks.

I had it and it is important to rinse with salt water between and after because it can get bloody.
Anytime there is bleeding, there is a 2 way street for pathogens into the blood stream.

Many dentists want their patients to take an anitbiotic for a few days before and after any dental work to minimize the possibility of infection. My dentist is OK with me not specifically "pre-medicating" as long as I maintain my regular bactrim dosage. My teeth are so close together that it's hard for me to floss, so there is generally some blood during routine exams and cleanings. I've not had any problems and have had two crowns installed and a filling replaced since disease onset.

Recently had a mouthful fixed...dentist was only concerned about taking the antibiotics before any tooth surgery. Blood was not an issue for me. He was made very aware of my WG. Best to you.

My gums are also Wegs affected , therefore a deep clean is required 2 a yr
Get numbed up I say : it hurts & bleeds a lot
But feels great afterwards !!!
