Ever since I got Wegs I always have a low temp. Makes it hard to prove I have a fever when I know I do!

It's very common with chronic illness.

My normal temperature always ran lower than 98.6 degrees F (around 97.5 to 97.7), just as my normal blood pressure used to be in the 100-106 over 70-65 range. When you are aware of this norm for yourself, it's important to make your doctor aware too so he or she can make an informed judgement about things like elevated blood pressure or fevers. If your doctor ignores this information, look for a new one.

My temp too has always been lower than the "norm" and as Doug says it becomes a challenge when convincing the health care personnel that "Yes, I do have a fever". They rely way too much on tangible readings.

I know this is off subject a bit...but people also rely too much on GPS navigator systems when a little common sense would do them just fine.

I think we tapped into somethng new - low temperature - mine seems to be around 36.3C. having said that, 33.2 is rather very low, you are sure that's what it was?.

Yes that's wright that way the doctor said to her if it was one of his older patient he would send them into hospital with suspected hypothermia but D always has a low 33.4 to day she has gone up to 35 the strange thing is her blood count are nearly normal and the specialist can not understand that bit saw it dose not make it easy to spot infections that is way when her temp starts to go up we know there is something not wright she has an infection again so the antibiotic have been up-ted and also penicillin to get ridd of it when the infection first started she was up to 37 sow they must be working its coming down

In holistic health, you can tell a lot about the person's health and type of disease they're prone to by observing body temp and blood pressure (among a few other things).

Low body temp and low blood pressure occur in people with "low" conditions--hypothyroid, hypoglycemia, etc... Diseases of "too little energy." Often, an otherwise healthy person's temp and bp will start to drop gradually over time, but they still remain in "normal range." It's one of the indicators that something is developing. Chronic disease is so exhausting to the body's resources that it often causes low bp and temp at some point.

Being an inflammatory autoimmune disease, Wegs is actually a disease of "too much energy." But the harsh drugs, tissue damage, blood loss (in some) and chronicity ultimately give it "low" qualities. So unless your bp is going through the roof due to pred and/or kidney damage, it will likely be on the lower side.

My blood pressure has fallen through the floor recently (64 / 96) although I'm not feeling dizzy or anything. I stopped taking azothiaprine as of yesterday to try to raise it a bit. Could this be the reson I have been feeling so tired?

Jack, what is your normal BP? 90/60 is not bad, but if your body is use to a higher level, yes a drop in blood pressure can make your tired. My blood pressure is never the same. It goes up and down like a roller coaster and that is secondary to all the medicines. Are you on Imuran? I looked up the Imuran and it doesn't lower your blood pressure. Just keep an eye on it.

Jack, medically, 90/60 is within range. Holistically, it's low (though not alarmingly). Low bp means you're not perfusing enough blood everywhere, which makes you quite tired. I wonder if your recent fatigue could be due to a mini-flare from dropping the pred. You had said it increased your nasal crusting-- your usual sign of active Wegs.

Add low bp to steroid myopathy and difficulty eating enough, and it could certainly cause low energy. Maybe the pred change was enough to just tip the scale.
