Hi my name is Angela and I am from Queensland Australia. I just wanted to say g'day. Just recently diagnosed with Wegeners in November. Glad to find this place. Never ever heard of my disease before. Came out of nowhere although i had been sick for over a year.

Will join the facebook page too once i have my account open. Most people haven't heard of Wegeners and even my medical teams have to study up before treatments.

Glad to be here.

Taking time to smell the roses

Angela.

Welcome Angela,

There are lots of Ozzies on this forum, and I imagine some will be chiming in soon. Sorry you needed to find us, but this is a great group for advice, empathy, and shoulders to cry on. Hope you find a good wegs doc who can get you into remission and a healthy, stable lifestyle.

Hi Angela,

I have just added you to the WG/GPA Australia and New Zealand facebook group.
We hope to hear about your wonderful specialists there, so that other Aussies can also benefit from great care.

I'm so sorry though that you had to find us because of recently being diagnosed.......but so glad you did.

Enjoy the roses

Hi Angela,

A warm welcome from Sydney. It is always sad that some else has this disease, but lots of understanding and empathy here.

Welcome, Angela, glad to meet you, sorry that it has to be because of Wegs. Being sick for a year or more before dx is not uncommon. In any case, you have come to the right place! I hope to see you on here often, and I'm glad you have already gotten hooked up with some of the other Aussies. It's early in the game for you, as far as treatment goes, but you could see some improvement before long, so keep us posted. Rants, vents, and all kinds of questions and stories are welcome on here.

Hi Angela, there is a wealth of information here, just ask a question, anything you want to know is a key stroke away. The more you know, the better you will feel. All the best.

Regards Woz.
