I found it interesting that syphilis can cause saddle nose deformity and that some people find relief of flares with antibiotics.
Here is a case of both weg's and syphilis and the antibiotics lowered both C-ANCA and syphilis titers.

No -- two totally different diseases with totally different causes. But, I can see where you may have been confused.

If you read conclusion of the study, the open question is whether there could be a link between gummas and anticytoplasmic antibodies -- not a link between the two diseases.

Read the part about pathology in this article (click here (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gumma_(pathology)))

If there was any relationship between the two diseases, we'd all be looking for a shot of penicillin for our cure.

Today, our diseases are mutating and this is why antibiotics are not working as well or at all any more.
Pathogens can consume the DNA of other pathogens and express a totally different toxin.
These toxins can trigger disease.
With Genetic Engineering and Nanotechnology, we cannot find exact links and the misfolded proteins create cause massive collateral damage.

You are way beyond what I know about micro biology.... I doubt the two are connected, though.

I am in no way an expert, but our diseases are becoming completely uncontrollable.
There are way too many facets to the diseases with no real link.
However, the human immune system is the only adaptable thing that can concour diseases if given the right environments.
Some feel they stay in remission using bactrim.
When we take antibiotics, it kills off pathogens that our immune system is busy working on and when we give the immune system less pathogens to fight, it can go after the others.
Most people's immune systems are compromised by way too many attacks, food, environment, vaccines, mercury fillings, etc.

Even if there is a link, there are probably way too many variables to keep it from being a direct link.
It would be interesting to see if someone that was on long term differing antibiotics would show improvements with autoimmune diseases like it does with Lyme disease.

Rember hearing about a no-nose club started by people with syphilis back in the day. Maybe we should start one too.
