OK. I called my insurance today to see if the request for coverage for my CT and Methacholine Challenge Test had been sent by the doctor's office. Yes...it had been received, but it was dated Sept 1, so they denied the request because the date has passed. Grrrrr. UNbelievable! Bunch of idiots. So, I had to contact the doctor's office yet again and ask him to send in yet another request with an open-ended date. What a nightmare! I feel like I have fallen down the rabbit hole!

Hang in there Jacquie. I did a little Google-mining to find something to cheer you up.

--“There are moments when troubles enter our lives and we can do nothing to avoid them.
But they are there for a reason. Only when we have overcome them will we understand why they were there.”
― Paulo Coelho (http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/566.Paulo_Coelho), The Fifth Mountain (http://www.goodreads.com/work/quotes/19254211)

--“Thankfully, persistence is a great substitute for talent.”
― Steve Martin (http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/7103.Steve_Martin), Born Standing Up: A Comic's Life (http://www.goodreads.com/work/quotes/3315115)

--“The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained in sudden flight but, they while their companions slept, they were toiling upwards in the night.”
― Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/2697.Henry_Wadsworth_Longfellow), Good Poems for Hard Times (http://www.goodreads.com/work/quotes/39394)

And finally, as if written just for you Jacquie-- “A library is a good place to go when you feel unhappy, for there, in a book, you may find encouragement and comfort. A library is a good place to go when you feel bewildered or undecided, for there, in a book, you may have your question answered. Books are good company, in sad times and happy times, for books are people - people who have managed to stay alive by hiding between the covers of a book."

[Letters of Note; Troy (MI, USA) Public Library, 1971]”

Thank you for all the encouraging words! I will need them as the saga continues. I am back in Ohio. The doctor's secretary told me last week that she would, have it worked out by Monday at the latest. I called this morning ....Tuesday...and now she tells me there are hardware and software issues and things too complicated to explain and now I am being told that they will get back to me by Monday. I feel like I am in an endless loop. If there were not so many positive reviews of Cleveland Clinic i would give up now. I feel like my whole life is on hold. It is a good thing that I have my baby granddaughter to keep me happy. And my son-in-law is away on business so I know my daughter really needs the help right now. But it is all very frustrating.
