Hello I'm from Ukraine. My dad health problems. Was otitis ear, headache, underwent surgery. Once inside head growths. Cleaned, had a biopsy, found granulomatous tissue. Headache did not stop. Made another shot at the same locations showed growths of 0.2 mm. After this reaction did blood tests microprecipitation (we called RMP). Negative display. Then again, and showed 2 + MR. Doctors did not confirm nor deny the disease. No medicament in this regard is not discharged. Just do not do anything. Tell me how to be? please give advice. (Sorry for the English translator)

The first order of importance is to get an accurate and definitive diagnosis and to have the proper type of doctor treating him. I do not know if our Vasculitis Foundation is able to help with international patients but you could email them and ask Contact Us (http://www.vasculitisfoundation.org/about/contact/)

In the US I know they have doctors on a list that provide consultation to other doctors for free. Perhaps your fathers doctor could contact one of them- I don't know.

They may have other suggestions about how to get the proper help for your dad.

It concerns me that he is not getting any medication even without full diagnosis. Prednisone is given here for a wide variety of conditions to buy time for diagnosis and specific treatment. I don't know if it is the right thing for your dad or not but it seems like he should be getting some treatment until they can figure out what is going on exactly.

I hope you are able to get things figured out soon and get him on the road to recovery. It is a common story here that people have trouble getting diagnosis and treatment too and have to advocate with persistance. Your dad is lucky you are helping him.

I agree with the above post, and went to the link given for contacting the VF.... from there, under Support, you can access the current list of specialists, which does include some in Europe and other parts of the world. Click VF Medical Consultants and New Specialists to check them out. I agree that an email to the VF would also be a good idea. Best of luck to you and your dad.
