I was lucky in one way that I had learned somewhat how to handle a life changing chronic illness before I had my Weg experience.

I was reading some pages on Diabetes Daily by Ginger Vieira and realize that most of what she wrote would also apply to some one with Wegs so here are links for those interested.

After my diagnosis of Wegs I found myself grieving a lot over the loss of my health and having anxiety over every symptom or change. The self compassion hints has helped me a lot.

I am still grieving from time to time  but I learned to live more peacfully with WG, mostly thanks to the supporting friends here

every day we become a different person, because every day we get a little older, a little wiser or a little more foolish. But we are all fighters or we would not be here, never grieve for who you where but celibrate the new you. Then celibrate again the next day for the slightly changed but still new you.

Very true Mike. We have to accept our new and ever changing normal. We have no choice. I am very blessed to have Wegs.

I needed to review these hints today to remind myself about some things I some times tend to forget!
