Hello! On May 19th I will be celebrating my 15th anniversary since being diagnosed with Wegeners. I would like to do something special for myself to commemorate my strength and success with this disease.

I was thinking I'd like to get a small tattoo. Any suggestions as to what I should get... or maybe another idea of what I should do?

Many thanks.

Hummm. Not an option sadly for two reasons. My husband is fixed. Lol and more importantly my osteoporosis won't allow it.

Oh no, I'm so sorry. Do you take vitamin D, Cal/Mag, Strontium, etc for bone support?

I am currently being looked at for a drug infusion that can help with the regrowth of bone mass. I can't remember it's name at the moment. But I'll try and find out... but I do take everything I can at this time. :)

I think that a tattoo can be risky for a weggie, (risk of infection or kind of "shock" to the body) eventough you are a tough wg-vet :wink1:
how to celebrate ? its depends on what you like to do best.... a party ?
we can have a party here at your day, you will see.... people from all around the world will arrive to your party.... :wink1:
I promise to give you the weggie dance....

this one can make you a bit tired because it is too much ups and downs :wink1:
but it sure good for the bones

Fifteen years - fantastic. Besides being an inspiration for all of us you certainly deserve to celebrate for yourself. Less risky is probably that object you always desired (providing it is realistic and affordable!) or a holiday / break to remember?

Maybe go on a Wegs tour like our forum leader or travel like Vdub to meet other Weggies or go to a Weg conference and tell your story. I bet some of them would love to have you present your story as a survivor.
