Social Security Disability

There have been some questions regarding SSD recently. Posted on FaceBook there was a speech given by a retired SS employee. It is long, about an hour, but if you don't know much or how to go about applying or if you should apply, it's a very informative video. She spoke at a Vasculitis Conference in I believe 2010 so it maybe on here somewhere. Hope this helps those that were inquiring about SSD.

Thanks, Cindy. Even though I'm on SS Disability, I still get confused about how it all works! So I'm sure this will help a lot both for me and for answering other people's questions about it.

We had to get a lawyer who specializes in SSD. It's hard to get it yourself, know how to fill out application, and then there is the judge! Our lawyer took his 'pay' out of her first payment, or maybe it was the first two, but it surely was worth it. SSD has helped Lilly to be more independent.
