:hug3:Here is a big hug to all of you I have missed so much. I have been having a flare of flares and am not quite over it yet but at least it is winding down. In the middle of all of this I fell off my horse ands cracked some ribs and got pretty bruised. I am now on my way to recovery. I don't have my test results back yet but they should be coming any day now. It felt so strange not to check in each day and see how you all were doing but I just felt to punk to write. It is good to be back. ánimo a todos, Barbara

I'm glad you are on your way back out of the flare - but Oh My Goodness, please be careful

Hey Barbara,

Getting worried about you now - I hope everything is okay and that you are just resting up - or maybe you are out partying :crying:

I'm getting my bubble wrap supplier ready, just in case.

I will send prayers and "spoons" your way, to help with the healing

You are all so fantastic. You really help when people are feeling down or hopeless. I am just waiting for my kidney results. I should have them in about 10 days. I know it is a long time to wait. I think one of you graphic Weggies ought to draw a symbol that would mean a lot to all of us and other people with auto immune diseases, then we could wear it as a necklace or a bracelet or even print it on T-shirts. My tiny village started a symbol a long time ago and it has become so popular that every where I go, especially at the air port people say " Oh youve been to Mojacar. It it just a simple little stick man with his arms out, they say he is a God found painted on a cave wall and her carries this years harvest in his arms. Silly, simple but people remember it and is symbolizes something. We just have to put out something that will bring auto.immune and vasculities to peoples minds.

Barbara, one of our members, by the name of Marta, has an online store with T-shirts and other items with logos having to do with Wegs and vasculitis. I wish I could find the link for you, but if you watch for her posts, or search for one, I think they all contain the link to the store and her blog about autoimmune diseases. I haven't seen her on here lately; I know she's been having summer fun outdoors with her family and other loved ones. She is in Jasper, Canada (not sure province) if you want to look her up on the Weggie Map at top of page.

With all the pred ,I don't think a stick person would be a good symbol. Glad your back and hope your ribs are healing well

Glad your back and hope your ribs are healing well There is at least one pred-related logo on Marta's t shirts.... it isn't a stick figure. I forgot to mention, I'm pretty sure a forum member said that Marta designs all the graphics herself for these items.

How about one with a "moon" face and a pregnantzone belly?

Dear Baraba,
I'm glad you update us.
I want to be totally honest with you, and to share with you my concerns about you. maybe I am wrong so I invite others here to say what they think.
Barbara, I am really worried about you. I don't think that you are getting the right treatment.
If it is not available in Spain maybe you should consider searching for it in another country. if it is a matter of getting money, we can all think together what can be done.
but please, go and give yourself best treatment !
I'm telling you so from the bottom of my heart.

I actually purchased two sweatshirts from the Zazzle store. I love them. One is a Weggie Chick one with a girl doing a karate kick on the back. On the front is this cute lil ogre guy and it says Body by Prednisone. I also have a black one with just a lil logo on the front that says "0 to Pred Rage in 2.3 seconds" and it says Weggie on Board on the back.
I love them.
I wear them as much as I can, and love it when people ask what a Wegggie is!!
I actually was speaking with a friends wife yesterday and she is having trouble with her doctors. She has Capillaritis which when I searched is a small vessel vasculitis. She was looking for a new doctor, a new pulmonary specialist etc. I gave her Dr. Metha's name ... and I gave her the Vasculitis Foundation and told her to go to UCSF or Stanford.
She was overjoyed that there was somewhere else she could look for answers. She is willing to pay anything for answers.
I love being able to help.

Wouldn't it be nice if Weggie shirts became all the rage, for example, among the teenage population? I get sick of seeing shirts that say Hollister or Aeropostale on them, words that pretty much mean nothing to the wearer or anyone who sees them. If we are going to be walking advertisements, how about it being for raising awareness of vasculitis or other diseases that could strike anyone? And Marta's images are a lot more fun than those big meaningless letters emblazoned across shirts.

I was just about to look for the link to Marta's store for Barbara, so thanks for doing it, Michelle!
