Infertility.

I need to know if anybody suffering WG has become infertile?
I am only 18, and at 15 was told that there is a chance of infertility because of the medication.
I am no where near looking to have a child for a while. I just want to know, as I know my boyfriend of two years wants to have his own child later in life, and I don't want to waste his time..
I am looking at getting a test done. I was just wondering if anyone had become infertile from anything?

Hi Maddison..I can't speak for myself (too old ) but I do know there are a few girls on here that are pregnant now and on meds. I have read some of these drugs may cause infertility if taken for a long period of time. You might want to check with an obgyn or a wg specialist. Good luck !

I read some of the meds should not be taken while trying to conceive, but that the effect will pass in a few months once they are stopped being taken. Certainly you should discuss it with an expert, and discuss your history of medication and WG.

Sorry to hear about your worries, those are of course large things to consider even though it might be years before you start trying. I do understand you would like some peace of mind though. Sorry I don't have any useful info to give, it would be nice to be able to easy your worries.

Hi Maddison,

I do know of a lady who being infertile when she was a teenager, due to WG and now has a young daughter from a donar egg.

Anything is possible :thumbsup:
