Need to see a kidney specialist now to be proactive before its a problem. yes I get it but I CAN'T LOSE YET ANOTHER DAMN BODY PART. I am still reeling from the lost of the first one (lung) beyond frustrated / scared outta my mind.

I'd say take a deep breath, but that's probably not appropriate...I'd say relax, but the stress is real...so I'll say...we understand...hang in there...you'll get on top of all this.

I guess living in New York, you are seeing a Weg's specialist.........coming from Australia, I'm not entirely sure where the best ones are.

However, if you are seeing the best, then you can relax a little with the knowledge that they have your best interests at heart and would not lead you astray.
It is, as you say, a great idea to remain pro-active in your own care. However the numerous amounts of blood tests that you will be currently having, will pick up any changes in your kidneys.

Stress, unfortunately, can make things worse, so do as Don says and try to relax a little.........we are all here for you to vent your frustrations and anger on, and to also give you a few laughs along the way.

I'd definitely suggest pursuing seeing one of the doctors from the Vasculitis Foundation if you can. They specialize in Vasculitis and can give you the best possible care. I believe there are a few really good ones in New York.

I'll second Bob's advice. Getting treatment from a Vasculitis specialist (one who is treating many Vasculitis patients) will ensure your treatment follows the best protocols and prevents the sneak attacks this damned disease can muster.

Welcome here.
It's a good thing you turned to this forum.
Lots of info and support...

I like your motto. You 'll be stronger day by day.

Please keep us posted after your visit to the kidney specialist.
Good luck with finding the right one. Seek the help of the Vasculitits Foundation, as Bob and Pete say...
