Janet, how much folic acid are you taking? You may need to increase the dosage.

They can be so painful, I used to get them continuously prior to diagnosis but now I don't get them at all.......{touch wood}

Hi Janet,

No problems with sores here. I'm on 15 mg/wk of mtx, 10 mg/day of pred, and 1 mg/day of folic acid. I also take a bactrim on M-W-F.

I get some soreness on my tongue that I think is thrush. Feels like I burned it or something when it flares up.

I do, and I was born and raised in New Mexico. Hot chile used to be part of every meal. Now I can barely eat the canned stuff.

I'm Spanish and grew up eating spicy and hot foods...can't handle them since I've been on pred and mtx. I miss the sudden explosion, eyes bugging out, sweat pouring down, and the final slice of tortilla before I do it again!! LMAO!
