What does this mean?

I still don't understand all the ANCA etc terminology! Can you help me understand this from my doctor please, about my latest blood result. I'm not sure what the PR3 is and what the significance is of it now being normal (other than a good thing of course):

ANCA still positive but the PR3 level is now normal.


I have been off medication since October 2011, and have had a ANCA reading of 1 since then.

Hi MCC,

Try doing an advanced search (right side near top of site) and type in "ANCA--teaching the novice!". It was a thread I started a while back filled with great info contributed from our members. This is one thread where Al's knowledge really hit me! A couple others are "ANCA result higher" and "C-ANCA/Anti PR3 antibodies ...". Hope that helps! (I don't seem to be able to remember all I'm told, so searching is a big help!). :lol::lol:
