inside of mouth is still swollen

Does anyone have this problem ? the inside of my mouth (Cheeks) are swollen and have been for a long:drool: time..I'm figuring is was due to the preds,but since I'm getting lower it still hasn't changed and I feel like I am drooling all the time.I didn't know if it was a wg or med thing and if anyone else had this problem

Doubt that it is the pred, Debra. Have you confirmed that it isn't thrush?

Was it happening before you started on the MTX.
This is one of the first things my rheumy asked me about when I first started taking it.....that and mouth ulcers

yea I have this for a long time,I had my reg dr. look at it and he gave me pred. creme to rub on it ( just want I need is more preds ) he didn't say anything about thrush. I don't even know what that is. I'll have to google it and see.

Well I googled to see what thrush was and it said it has white patches on your tongue and or cheeks but I don't have that . They are all just puffed up on the inside

I had thrush, it does consist of white patches on tongue/cheeks. It also incurs violent vomiting...yuk. I don't think you have it. That's a good thing, but you do need to have yours checked out...red and puffiness seems to indicate some kind of infection. Good luck.

not vomitting,just feel like a chipmick on the inside.I see my doc in a couple of weeks for now I guess I'll try the old salt water routine.If it doesn't get better maybe I can see him sooner. Thanks for the luck Don !
