I got an email from the VCRC today. Here's the content about opening new centers:

We moved to the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in January where Dr. Peter Merkel is now the Chief of Rheumatology. Boston and Boston University has been home to the VCRC Coordinating Center since its inception, and while we will miss Boston we are excited about a new start in Philadelphia.

There is still a dedicated Vasculitis Center at Boston University, and Dr. Merkel is opening a Vasculitis Center to see patients at the University of Pennsylvania.

VCRC Study Centers

There are currently 10 VCRC study centers in North America. In 2011 we opened two new centers, one at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and the other at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. Both centers are participating in the One-Time DNA study and the clinical trial for giant cell arteritis and Takayasu?s arteritis.

The University of California San Francisco will be participating in the One-Time DNA study, and is now open for enrollment.

Our other VCRC centers are located in Baltimore, Boston, Cleveland, Hamilton (Ontario), Pittsburgh, Rochester (Minnesota), Salt Lake City, and Toronto.

I forget what VCRC stands for again? Is it Vasculitis Clinical Research Consortium?
