Had anyone experienced excessive sweating taking MTX or prednisone. My daughter has been experiencing this since she started her meds.

I sweat quite a bit with light physical activity while on pred.

Me too. Though my detractors might claim there are other reasons.....

On pred and mtx, me too including night sweats. Even in tapering now, I still sweat more than expected.

And as for you Al, are those detractors da tractors dat ran you over? Baaaaad, but well, it's the drugs...again!

Aw, stow it, Don. With all this pred, we may have to fist fight. "Da tractors". What a load to pull.

Yes, It must be the pred. I'm on Cytoxan and Pred. It's yucky.

Absolutely! I've understood it's a side effect of the prednisone. I get them at random times, but mostly nights. They have lessened as the dosage has been tapering. Not much fun, but like menopause so I'm used to them! Lol!

Yep! It's the pred. A lovely side effect for us women. Not that men should sweat, but ladies generally prefer not to.

It's the pred. When I was on the high doses initially I used to drench 6 t-shirts a night. I mean soaking wet, as if I'd fallen in a river.

Mtx won't cause menopause but ctx often does. That contributed to a lot of my sweats, too.

Nice to have a perceptive critic, Anne...! Speaking of Northwest humor, did you ever read The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven? With all this pred flying around, I have a new appreciation for the image.

Al I did not read that book, but would like to. I have seen/heard interviews of the author, Sherman Alexie, and best of all so far, I have a copy of the movie Smoke Signals, which I believe is based on one of the stories in that book (if in fact it is a book of stories?). In any case, Smoke Signals is one of my favorite movies!

No, that is not a side effect of mtx. Many younger people who have milder Wegs are treated with mtx instead of ctx, so as to preserve their fertility.

Mtx can't be taken during pregnancy. It can cause miscarriage.
