Odd that this thread would pop up. I have not been able to get on without a lot persistence for days now. I'm about to give up. I guess some of you have an e-mail for me, but I think I will be on a lot less frequent. Too bad as this site is a valuable resource.

Ya, I jinxed it...I am unable to get on for 6 hours at a time ever since.

I do not have any troubles at all logging in from home or from any of the 30 plus servers at work.....get in first time every time.
I guess living closer to Andrew has some advantages.

Sometimes this site will not come up for me either. But usually later on, a few minutes or a few hours, I can bring it up and log on.

Maybe it would be a good idea if any of us that are on Facebook became friends. And maybe we should all share our e-mails as well.

An new site may be our best option right now if people are having so much trouble logging in. If vdub is almost giving up then we are in rough shape. I want to see everyone that is able to be on this site on here. There must be people that try to reach this site that are not able to get here either.

I've had no problems through Comcast; occasional problems with other ISPs. I don't want to abandon this site either, but, VDUB, son't abandon your claim on alternatives yet. I'm thinking that we may need a lifeboat if worse comes to worst--or at least an auxiliary site.

To me it appears like an ISP problem. Since our group is relatively small, it is very well possible that the URL is so low in the web/ISP hierarchy that the "search" through the tables is timing out before it reaches our servers in Australia. It may just be one server in the hierarchy that is causing this problem. I'm in the US Mountain Time Zone and on AT&T and I do have problems connecting to the site early in the morning, but I connect just fine later in the day. But, it is not consistent. Today I connected fine at 6:00 AM, but most of the time I have to wait until after 8:00 AM. The email notification is very inconsistent.

I seem to have best luck with connections in late evening. Not sure why,
Only plus to the connection difficulty is that when I do finally get on there tend to be fewer posts to read since people aren't able to get on enough to post much.

Just got on twice in a row with no difficulty. Also started receiving email reminder of private messages too. Great improvement.

I had to try several times over a 20 minute period to get in. Morning is usually the most difficult time for me in the US Mountain Time Zone. That's why I think that it's ISP related.
