Liquor (Wine) And Meds

Recently started on Rituxan. On it right for approx. 3 weeks, but experiencing some insomnia. I feel tired but it all leaves once I'm in bed. Tonight (this morning!) has been the worst. I'm not a big drinker but thinking alittle wine before bed might help.
Anyone know off hand how such things mix with some of our meds?

Can't say for rituxan, but I never worried about a couple beers when I was on mtx. I have seen mixed studies concerning mtx and alcohol.

My rheumy warned me about alcohol and mtx, however, I stil drink the occasional wine when out for dinner and that is OK with him. Don't know about alcohol and rituximab though.

Rtx is long out of your system so it shouldn't be a factor. But do remember that all drugs are stressors to the liver and you don't want to add more.

This is the top question on our list of questions for the dr on the 22nd. John has been craving a "Mikes" I'm scared to give in to him due to all the meds he is on.
