Today someone mentioned that most of us do not come here to complain. This is true. But in an effort on my part to not return to the hospital again any time soon I have decided to start to listen to my body and tonight my right foot, elbow and arm are in a screaming battle with my left knee, wrist, and ankle. Also I seem to be sporting a mild rash on my lower left extremties remincent of my younger wegners days.

Anyone care to join me in a good old wyning fest. I cannot spell.

We are not on speaking terms right now, infact, I'm right pissed off at him.

I have been with him for ten years and he has taken good care of my wegners for the most part. I am mad at him because of issues that came up during and after my hosptalization with diverticulitis. His resident mixed up something I had asked him about what the surgens resident had said and he would not listen to me long enough to get it right. He spent more time being all high and mighty about how I should be getting the to refer me to a gastro doc and ditch the surgen who by the way actually is in the room when his students/residents are getting info from me.

Leigh, I'm wondering why you label your sharing of pain as "whining." It's not very kind to yourself. Would you allow someone else to speak to you that way? I sure wouldn't!

As far as your symptoms...by avoiding your rheumy (for whatever the reason) you're putting yourself at great risk.

It is a feel good whine.

If my symptoms get worse I will contact him, but I will still be mad at him.

Leigh, I have told you before to go see Dr. Carrette in Toronto. I know it is a ways away for you. But he is a Wegs Specialist. I had an appointment to see him in July last year but found my Wegs specialist right in town here. I was fully prepared to go there. I hope you will seriously consider this option. Wegs does not wait around and can turn pretty nasty in a very short period of time.

And keep on whining!! It's good medicine too.

I don't think you are whining :) You seem to be a workaholic maybe, but not a whiner ;)

I'm with you with getting frustrated with doctors and wanting to avoid them at times. Honestly I spent about 5 years of a previous illness doing nothing about it because a doctor made me mad (not listening to what I was saying in an appt). Just remember the Wegener's will beat you down worse than most other stuff so that's probably not the best route to take.

I have never found people to whine on this site. We all need to vent now and then. We all have our burdens to bear to say the least. I have even gone through denial with Wegs. Yes, even Batman is not immune to such things. Just look at one of my other posts on my thread and you will see Batman is not immune at all. lol
