This was a story on NPR about the embarrassing things we learn as adults-- things we should have known at a younger age.
Here's the link to the story: Want To Share An Embarrassing Misconception? You're Not Alone. : NPR (http://www.npr.org/2011/07/04/137443123/i-was-absent-that-day)
And here's (http://www.facebook.com/NPR/posts/10150286750781756) the link to their FB page where they asked people to add things they'd learned. I could read it all day! I think my favorite so far is the guy who thought you're supposed to read Roman numerals like letters. He referred to the movies as "Rocky Eye Vee" and (my favorite) "Rambo Eye Eye Eye." http://www.smileyhut.com/laughing/rofl.gif (http://www.smileyhut.com)
