eye problems

hi,

i've been having problems with one of my eyes and actually my whole left side of the face is more swollen than the right. Specialist reduced my prednisone dose saying that it will help. Today I went to see my eye doctor and she noticed a 'freckle' on my left eye that wasn't there a year ago. Everything else was normal and she was familiar with WG and so was another dr in her office.

meds: currently on prednisone and receiving IV treatment of CTX.

Has anyone else had as similar problem?

I've had a little bit of eye-problems when I was first diagnosed. But now it's okay again.

You say your doctor told you that everything is normal, and that she is familiar with WG.
Familiar with is not the same as 'experienced', when it comes to this complicated disease.
Maybe you can get an appointment at a Vasculitis-centre?

I have rt eye uvites thining of white part currently on 30 mg pred and iv CTX 7th treatment dr says i need treatment until eye becomes stable blood work is perfect i am seeing a wegie dr at mayo in a week . eye site is 20/50 from 20/20 in 2 months.

Has your vision changed? If the doctor was not a retinal doctor go to one they know the best. I'm concerned with finding a new spot and the swelling of your facw. Don't wait get in as soon as possible. May be nothing but be sure. I work with retina spec if you need help finding one letr me know.

I had eye trouble recently as well. Went to see a Uveitis specialist and my Weg Doc. Weg Doc was convinced it was not WG related as he had hit me with RTX the month before, but I still don't agree. In the end, they just ramped me back up on prenisone and it cleared up.
