I go back to the doc next monday and on Friday statred having cramps on my right lower abdomen. Doc was watching kindey function. does anyone one know if pain in lower abdomen is associated with kidney function?

Kidney problems tend not to have much in the way of symptoms. It is unlikely that your pain is associated with this.

Lower right abdomen is the appendix <sp?> area...make sure you keep track of it and if you start feeling nausea or running a fever that you get to a doctor asap (like ER even). I had mine rupture when I was a kid and until it ruptured everyone thought it was the stomach flu.

I do know it is not my apendex i had that removed in 2005.

I agree that it's not likely to be from the kidneys. It could be coming from the ovaries. A cyst or other problems in the ovaries will cause those symptoms.

Are you contipated? Gas build up can cause pain too.
