Hello

My veins after so many needles have fibrosed and scarred, so it's very difficult to get lines in now (and if the doctors do get a line in, the line goes dead within 6-12 hours). So my Rheumy has advised that next time i'm admitted, that a central line may be my only option.

I'll be glad in a way, because I hate needles. Has anyone else had a line like this in? The last semi perm line I had in was in my neck, when I was a child.

Thanks x

Thanks!!!!! I'm meant to be on loads of pred, but i'm not very compliant. I'm HUGE on steroids. I drive my Rheumy crazy. :-/

I told my doc that I tapered to 40 instead of 45mg of pred and he was not too happy, but did say that it would do not too much harm considering we are tapering 5mg a week.
