Has anyone had any WG involvement in submandibular glands (salivary glands under jaw)? I'm asking because in the same time I've been dealing with the WG I've noticed my glands are swollen. I hadn't really thought about it as I've been told by several ENTs it wasn't something to worry about, but I noticed last night that they are so swollen that I can see them under my jawline now, which seems weird...don't recall seeing other people's salivary glands :wink1:

Was debating whether this could be related in some way and whether to mention to the specialist.

Hmm...looks like it is an uncommon WG involvement:
Bilateral parotid and submandibular gland enlargem... [J Laryngol Otol. 2003] - PubMed result (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12625895)

I seem to be an expert at pushing for the unusual :p

Psyborg you should see a endocrinologist and get those glands checked out. Also make sure your WG specialist know this too.

This is starting to drive me crazy...I'm pretty sure I pointed these out when I was at the specialist and they didn't say anything about it. But it may have been the ENT that I mentioned it to maybe.

Psyborg, call your Wegs doc or your ENT and tell them that they're large enough to see them. They need to determine if you're fighting an infection versus Wegs involvement of the glands.

I called in this morning. Its kind of weird...there is no pain or tenderness involved, they are just particularly swollen. With everything else WG related I seem to have pain so I didn't associate it :)
