An optimistic story

Kidneys about 75% okay and no particular problems. Lungs seem fine too - I get breathless from low haemoglobin as a side effect from drugs but that's improving gradually.

Tony: I was in St Georges in Tooting mainly with renal experts. Your recovery is quicker than mine. Do you mind me asking how old you are? I'm 53. What about tiredness?

Brian, I'm 49. I don't notice any tiredness, I got back to running 3 months after I came out of hospital and was already cycling and swimming. Perhaps the running is a bit harder, but that may be down to the drugs and I can't say I'm a spring chicken. I had bleeding in the lungs and some kidney involvement, but now my lungs seem fine and my kidney function is at the limit of the normal range (about 100-120 creatinine level). I have certainly been very lucky.

I am glad that there are such positive results in UK. Scarry at the beginning but it all turned out OK. Wish you all the best
