Well, once again my blood work and urinalysis came back negative, but based on the symptoms I've had and the fact that many of them react only to Prednisone, the Rheumy wants to go forward with the biopsy. I was hoping to get the biopsy out of the way last week, but the ENT who's going to do it wanted to talk to the Rheumy about it first. The Rheumy also wants him to do a culture while he's at it. The Rheumy says "something is definitely going on". We need to find out what that something is and do whatever we can about it. In order to keep the inflammation in my sinuses in check, the Rheumy gave me a shot of slow-release cortisone. So forward we go, and the biopsy is on the 17th. Then it's back to the Rheumy to talk about the results.

That's not especially good news for me, as there has to be an explanation for all these symptoms. After the first of the year, I will return to my PCP and we will continue to look for answers.
