Attachment 287 Louie grounds himself on his scratch board. In fact, every time you see him sleeping, he attempts to have at least one foot touching something. If you walk over him (he blocks the narrow passage from one room to the next), he often will lightly touch your with his foot as yoiu pass over! [I had a wonderful time with my family, thank you! One of the side benefits of WG is I feel more intensely how much I love each of my sisters, my brother, my Mom.]

Those are great pics, Doug. Looks like Louie has become quite comfortable in his life with you.

Louie sounds just the cat my parents took in about 18 months ago - he must have one paw touching you if he asleep on the couch with you, and will touch your foot if you walk past him on the floor. It's always a slow, gentle, tentative touch which can be very sweet but I usually find it just a little on the creepy side!
DJ (he's black and white and looks like he's wearing a dinner jacket) also often sleeps on the floor in a Superman pose.

    Great pics Doug!

I love your pictures of Louie, she looks kinda like Garfield but nicer. Doug, hope you see your family soon. Family is so important....like your said...WG does remind us that family and friends are more important than stuff.

Luce- It sounds like your parents have what is called a Tuxedo cat if it also has white"socks". Louie (neutered male, elephant, but, in his case, the issue is moot! Ha!) doesn't like coffee, so he'd be a sad case substituting for Garfield. Louie is very much settled in (everything in the apartrment has little signs Louie posted: "Mine"! When I fall asleep in my recliner, I better fall asleep with a pillow on my lap because he will jump up, all 20 lbs. (a bit over 9.07 kg) of him, and land with considerable force! My sisters came and left in February, but my brother is still here for about 10 more days. It is my brother who repoorts that one time Louie jumped in my lap while I slept in my recliner chair, he licked my hand all over then jumped down. I slept through it.
Attachment 290 This an example of a typical tuxedo cat, my "nephew" Sox,m who is my Seattle sister's kitty. They come in short and long haired versions. (Click on the photo to enlarge for better detail....)

I had a sweet little tuxedo cat a few years ago-- Tashi Kitten Boy. I liked how he was always dressed for dinner.

Hi, my legs sometimes are quite swollen, and if Schux jumps up in the recliner with me on it, 10 sharp claws punch holes that leak lymph for days. Very wet!!

I guess Schux is trying to spare you taking diuretics?
