For all you Canadians - we're going to venture into Canada after we visit the Cleveland Clinic this summer. My daughters are very excited! We applied for our passports a few weeks ago. Do you have any suggestions for touristy type things to do around Toronto/Niagara Falls area? Is there anything we need to be concerned about? You do drive on the right side of the road, right?

Yep...they drive the same side as American's. I think only the British Isles and Asian countries drive on the left.

I still can't believe we have to have passports to go to Canada and Mexico now.

Actually I drive on the left side of the road from time to time only to avoid bumps.

my horse prefers the left side.

This is my neck of the woods so i should probably respond but i am a total homebody so i may not be much help.

Niagra falls is a good start. Great wolf lodge is amazing fun for the kids. the falls are pretty and the sight seeing in niagra fall is self explanitory.

I know even less about toronto.

    the cn tower is high

canadas wonderland is a fun park but avoid it on weekends and holidays.

hamilton has the royal botanical gardens

sorry im not much help but i only really go to toronto for concerts.

Yup...you know you are 45 minutes away when you can see it in the sky.

Niagara Falls itself - cool boat tour but expensive

    CN Tower

    Toronto Island Park

Distillery District - old Victorian area

    Royal Ontario Museum

Many museums in fact.... including the Hockey Hall of Fame where you can witness an "EXTREMELY" rare occurrence .... a Maple Leaf jersey and the Stanley Cup in the same photo or sometimes under the same roof!! If you do happen to experience this consider yourself very lucky because most Torontonians never will!!

Yes, driving in the right lane is permitted - BUT - switching to the left lane is acceptable if you do happen to see one of those aforementioned "Maple Leaf" jerseys.... that'd be worth 1000 points!! Be alert though because they are much harder to pick out now that they've removed the "brown paper bags"!! A couple years of "nearly" making the playoffs has made them respectable.

If you can't make it to the Hockey Hall of Fame ..... the Air Canada Centre and Rogers Centre are good places to witness sport oddities....

Not sure if they still have the 1000 Island Tour on the St. Lawrence? Used to be a double decker boat tour around the islands....

I'm surprised that I didn't get a response from a Leaf fan.... "e" for effort in trying to rattle their cage!

    Leigh..... not a Leaf fan?
