    Default NOW i am anoyed...

First off, my hospital that I am treated out of just announced that they are no longer accepting emergency patients over the age of 17. I have never actually used the er for myself but I have known that if I need it it is there and my wg doctors are too. Now if I ever do need to go to the er it will be at a hospital i am unfamilliar with. How will my wg doctors even find me. why wasnt I consulted about this change. They should have asked me first. lol.

secondly, I had to drop of my 24 hour urine collection today. for some reason I brought two sets of keys to my car. Good thing because I got half way home and realised that the set i have in my ignition is not the same set that unlocks my home. I figured I could call and ask them but aparently you cant call the collection lab so i have to go back and hope they are there. I have a feeling though that they are in the lab itself in the bag with my urine.

I should just go back to bed i am sure of it.

I don't understand, how can a hospital refuse patients based on age, that sounds crazy?

Yes, how annoying for you. Do you have some medical records there that you can have transfered to another hospital? Maybe let all of you doctors know as well?

My doctors are not moving my records do not need to move. It is just the comfort of knowing this hospital including the parking lot. I just picture myself being in the er and my doctors not being there to treat me and I will be alone. I am honestly more upset about my keys

Oh, I'm sorry........I have to laugh about your keys being in the bag with your urine sample!! LOL!!

What would your wegs docs want you to do in an emergency? That's what you should find out. Call them, and then go back to bed!!!

My local hospital A&E do not treat children and anything more than routine stuff they transfer to the nearest major hospital. The hospital where I receive my Wegener's treatment is on the other side of town, so if I have anything serious it is best if I can get over there to avoid all the communication problems.

I have a follow-up dermatology appointment tomorrow which will be at the local hospital since it is just routine stuff. It is only a 10 minute drive!

I see doctors across 3 hospitals in my region, one of which has the vasculitis team, one my cardiololgist and the last is in my town where i recieve the worst treatment from ENT and Rheumatology. Means i have to travel further for better treatment, but this is worth its weight in gold!

    Good luck to you.

Lol. Weird thing is I never take both sets of keys but for some reason I did today. I trust this hospital sooo much. The next closest one is the same hospital that did a spinal tap on my brother to send to the mayo clinic as only they can diagnose devicks desease. The sample never made it because They LOST IT

You've got me thinking about what I would do in an emergency......my specialists are over an hour from my house. The local hospitals probably wouldn't know what to do for me. I'll hope there are no emergencies.
