Update on Phil

Hi gang,

Just got a phone call from Phil (I was out and just got a voicemail) and he wanted me to put up a note and let you all know what's going down.

He just got admitted yesterday into his local hospital, and after getting the results back from a susceptibility test, they've put him on a drug called 'suphoxitan' (not sure if I have that spelled right) which has to be administered every four hours. That's why they are keeping him there. Next week his doctor will see about home care instead of him being stuck at the hospital for a minimum of three months.

I will give him a buzz tomorrow and get an update live and in person (it's too late to call now) and bring back any info. Let me know if you'd like to pass anything along.

Marta, I think the antibiotic is called cefoxitin, it's a strong antibiotic. When cefoxitin is given every four hours...it is used for mod to severe infections. Just sayin. I love this
